I paint traditionally, as I feel art should be accessible to everyone. My foremost goal is to tell a story, be it from historical sources or from everyday life. I’ve sought inspiration from a wide variety of traditional subjects, yet I always ask a few simple questions before deciding what to paint. Is there a narrative? Is something happening? Did something just happen? Is something about to happen? Where there is action, there is movement and the movement brings drama.
I have had a life-long infatuation with art and it has always been the one consistant love for me. I’m a 1994 graduate of Georgia Southern University with a BA in Education. I have been painting in oils since 1997 as a commission artist. In 2019 I became able to paint on a daily basis and opened YFoxStudios at my home in Swainsboro, GA. This has given me a tremendous opportunity for growth and the ability to paint whatever I feel inspired by.
My art has been showcased at the Kalmanson Gallery in Swainsboro, GA, the Shrimp Fest in Gulf Shores, AL, the Makin' Aiken Art Festival in Aiken, SC, and a wide variety of other Arts shows though out the last two decades.
